New releases often raise the bar. Here is how to tell whether your current PC will keep up.

Minimum specs usually mean the game runs at low settings. Recommended specs are a better guide to a smooth experience at typical settings.

Find out what is in your PC

On Windows, open Settings › System › About for the processor and memory, and Task Manager › Performance for the graphics card.

Upgrade or replace?

If only the graphics card falls short, an upgrade may be enough – check your power supply and case space first. If the processor, memory and graphics card all fall short, a new build is often better value.

Other things that help

Install the game on an SSD, keep graphics drivers up to date, and close background apps while playing.
